Posted by: admin  :  Category: reference

Literally, frustration means thwarting a goal or a goal interference. It is a feeling that is produces when desires are met with some forms of interference which prevent or delay their completion. To be frustrated is to be thwarted in the satisfaction of a need or motive.

The feeling of frustration is a highly individual experience. This is so because values are personal, and what is frustrating to one may not be frustrating to another. Frustration is very complex in nature. It could be the blocking of motivational tendencies, or it may involve situations in which accustomed reactions fail to produce the usual satisfactions. Frustrations is deepened by the interplay of different motivations, such that the thwarting of needs related to self-esteem, security, status and affection causse great emotional tensions.
