Sometimes, the teacher asks for a volunteer to do (his activity in your literature class when discussing a particular type of prose or poem. If you are good at expressing the thought and feeling in a particular literary piece, volunteer to recite or read it in class with feeling, gestures and bodily movements. This can earn you good marks too.
Examples of poems and speeches you can recite or read out with feeling and appropriate gestures are:

Interviews

Prominent personalities like scientists, champions and public figures can be interviewed on relevant and useful subjects. You can interview a local scientist on his invention that will benefit many; a local sports or artist champion on the details of his or her award; or a business person or social leader’s advocacy.
Phrase your questions clearly, directly and forcibly with your readers and listeners in mind. Ask what they are likely to ask the interviewee themselves. Elicit or encourage the personality to give as detailed answers as possible. The trick is to read a lot about the personality before framing your interview questions and before actually interviewing him or her.
Present your interview findings in the form of a report to the class, unless your interview can be published also by the editor of your school newsletter or magazine. Otherwise and if you can afford it, present the report with a video complement of the personality interviewed.
